This quaint lakeside cottage remodel transformed the interior of this 1970’s bungalow to a cozy, rustic/industrial style home ready for family and friends to enjoy its beautiful setting. We used reclaimed wood elements and antique light fixtures to add instant patina, making the home feel authentic to the time period it was built. Vaulting the ceilings in the main living spaces utilized prevoiusly unused attic space, opening up and adding visual interest to these rooms.
Open plan kitchen, living and dining room
Reclaimed beams and flooring add instant character and patina to the cottage. The ceilings in the kitchen, living and dining room areas were vaulted to create more storage in the kitchen and open up the feel of the rooms.
Kitchen
The kitchen is small but mighty. Vaulting the ceilings added space for taller cabinets and additional storage. The reclaimed wood beams add a rustic wow factor. Concrete look countertops, textured white brick style tile with dark grout and two tone cabinets finish out the space.
