This home was built in the mid 1990's, has great bones and is in a wonderful neighborhood. My client was looking to totally update the interior of the home and add outdoor living spaces to fully take advantage of its lakefront location. We added a large back deck which created beautiful indoor-outdoor living, fully renovated the bathrooms, staircase and flooring, updated the lighting and curated all new furnishings, accesories and window treatments. A crisp color palette with textural organic materials creates a comfortable and sophisticated family home.

The outdoor dining room, sundeck and living room were added to the home, creating fantastic 3 season indoor-outdoor living. The dining and living room areas are roofed and screened with the sun deck area in between left open.

Outdoor dining and living rooms are accessed from the central sundeck. Retractable screens on the living room walls were installed on both of the openings so the space can be fully connected to the sundeck when they are opened.

The outdoor living room was designed to provide lots of seating. The insect screens retract, opening the space to the sun deck in the center of the outdoor area. Beautiful outdoor furniture adds style and comfort to the space for year round enjoyment. The shutters add privacy and a sculptural element to the space.

The master bedroom opens to the outdoor living room. The deck was designed to be approximately 2 feet lower than the floor level of the main house so you are able to look over the outdoor furniture without it blocking the lake view.

The outdoor dining room leads off the indoor kitchen and dining space. A built in grill area was a must have for the client. The table comfortably seats 8 with plenty of circulation space for everyone to move around with ease. A fun, contemporary tile was used around the grill area to add visual texture to the space.

The sliding doors lead out to the sundeck and the lake beyond. TV's mounted above fireplaces tend to be a little high for comfortable viewing from the sofa, so this tv is mounted on an adjustable pull down bracket for use when the fireplace is not turned on. Floating white oak shelves replaced dated upper cabinets above the bar area.

The upstairs jack and Jill bathroom for two teenage boys was done in a black and white palette. Concrete look, hex shaped tiles on the floor add depth and "cool" to the space. The contemporary lights and round metal framed mirror were mounted on a shiplap wall, adding texture and layers to the space.

One of the boys bedrooms upstairs was furnished with a leather chair and wooden framed bed. Linen fabrics for the bedding, velvet shams and a textured throw complete the layering in the space. The woven wood blinds soften and add warmth and functionality.

The bonus room is light filled and set up for hanging out. A super comfortable sectional with plush shag rug invite lounging. Oversized chess board and displayed sports memorabilia complete the space.
